I admire your game more for its atmospheric qualities than the actual content, which seems a mawkish imitation of cinematic depression. Still, I admire the repetitive element that you mentioned in your description. It is unique because it actually requires that you 'die' to progress in the game as well as giving you a chance to explore variations in you actions.
About the final scene though-- what is the idea? Did everyone else do themselves in too, or did they simply disappear in a dreamlike fashion?
After a certain point, not being able to see or discern where the only thing I controlled in the game was became less of a challenge and more of an annoyance. There should at least be some indication of when the character is walking (play footstep sounds, for instance). The game was also dull in terms of level design.
Why can't he take a low grade incline?
The game mechanism is similar to Shift and in the premise is modification of the one from games like Valve's Portal, and Llama Adventure or Spewer here on Newgrounds. It is still a fun break time game though.
